Congratulations to ALIWA Class III (Sankofa) Fellow and Board Chair, Uwa Osa-Oboh, who was appointed Independent Non-Executive Director of Cadbury Nigeria Plc in August, bringing her extensive experience in strategy, organisational transformation and stakeholder engagement to the company’s Board. Uwa currently serves as Head of Corporate Development at Capital Alliance Nigeria, part of the African Capital Alliance Group, and previously spent 17 years at management consulting firm ReStraL Limited, including eight years as CEO.
With a multidisciplinary career spanning law, finance, economics, strategy and leadership, Uwa has worked with corporations and public institutions to strengthen organisational effectiveness and performance. Her appointment extends that experience into the governance of one of Nigeria’s longstanding consumer goods companies, providing another platform to contribute to responsible leadership, sound decision-making and institution-building.
