ALIWA Fellowship Programme

This programme is targeted towards sub-national government cabinets and senior public servants who are charged with policy making and implementation. This Leadership programme is to raise the critical consciousness of public service leaders nation-wide of what constitutes “the good society”. ALIWA achieves this by propagating values-based leadership and shaping their thinking with regard to their individual responsibility to achieving that “good society”.

Youth Leadership Programme

The ALIWA Youth Leadership is a transformative Fellowship program designed to impart the principles of values-based leadership to youth leaders, with a view to taking on the key developmental challenges and opportunities of our times. Upon completion of this program, they will become the proponents for social justice, accountability, ethics and moral leadership within their communities and circles of influence. ALIWA’s goal is to identify, engage, train, develop and mentor

Leadership & Citizenship Bootcamp

To make a difference in society, it is essential that young people not only find their voice but also to have a deeper, more robust understanding of their roles as citizens and nation-builders. For young people to be adequately represented in political institutions and electoral processes, they must be equipped with the insights that would enable them to participate in meaningful ways, without resorting to violence. The Leadership and Citizenship Bootcamp has been designed to address this and to raise the critical consciousness of our youth regarding the tenets of the social contract in governance, patriotism and how to identify as well as build a good society. ALIWA has the tools, resources and track record to facilitate youth development in this regard with the ultimate objective of enhancing the contributions of those in this demography in constructive, productive and sustainable nation building. It is hoped that the outcome of this intervention will be seen in an enhanced commitment to serve as social change agents through constructive engagements in their various walks of life.
